Bert, Don't be hesitant to dive right into drawing. These two drawings are okay but try to vary poses and include the entire figure - don't start a drawing of a person without a basic idea of their size on the page and their setting. The point raised about POV is valid - try to work around different angles with the figure.
They're definitely coming together better with the ballpoints. Imagining an armature can be tricky with bulkier figures, but it's worth it once you get the hang of it.
Even if you say figures from life aren't your strong point I think these turned out well.
ReplyDeleteThese two are about the same angle though, I think it'd be cool to see some sketches of an angle where you can see the person's face.
