HW #2 Foreshortening

Attempting to stay within the timeframe (under 15 minutes) I feel I may have pushed a little at lightly shading far too much (seeing how none of it even seems to show up post-scanning). However I do feel that I'm getting a better grasp at quickly pinning down form. I wanted to do more with the background, but there was very little background to these figures.

  1. Bert,
Pretty good, overall. You have varying degrees of succes - front-on foreshortening is very difficult - whereas your ones where the figure is turned slightly read better (just as a rule).
For 15 minutes per drawing, you should at least be able to block out a face - you seem to skip this step a lot in your drawings and go into shading. A solid line drawing with hands, faces and feet - as well as an indication of surrounding furniture or background elements - can be made without resorting to shading.
Devote the energy to a solid line drawing.
