Easton

Today I tried more or less drawing from memory even though I did have a figure to go back to in some cases (while some people were no where to be found once I looked up from the paper). I focused more on "Shading" shadows rather than shading the colors of someones shirt or shoes, focusing a bit more on weight and lighting (or at least attempted to).  I realized that my has completely bleached out subtle shading, will have to figure out how to counter that in the future.

  1. Nice! Good to see you make progress on "memory" sketching. My favorite is the last one, the way it works as a whole.

  2. Bert,
Good beginnings here. All have solid proportions. Loosen the line up a little... the gesture feels a little stiff. And remember to work in the hands.
The sweeper is a fantastic pose - and it's hard to articulate someone holding something like a dustpan with their arm in that position. Follow through with where the fingers and thumb are placed so we read it convincingly.
