I ended up starting to like the more "doodly" style, however I like to finish up sketches after I have a good idea of what I want everything to look like.
Bert, Some of these look really good and have great character. While I don't mind if you make some final details on these after class, don't overwork them - they begin to look less like sketches and more like illustrations that took much longer than the allotted time (boy with lollipop/old woman with cane). It loses the meaning of capturing a sketch or gesture. The rest of these have solid foundations - just need more work.
