The Birds
Oh my birds! Spend no more than 20 seconds on each. Birds are actually very fun to draw, perhaps it's attributed to their easy to draw shape, or perhaps I'm not as worried as messing up a bird as say a person, allowing for a faster more gestural sketch. I'll try applying the same logic to people.

Birds ARE fun! But you might've had even more fun if you'd done some more with the wings spread out. That's where you can mess around with line weight easier.

ReplyDeleteThe last page is my favorite... these are the strongest of the 3 pages. Yes - loosen the line up - regardless of the subject. The variety you've brought into some of the past couple week's work can still be incorporated into these.
I like that you're limiting yourself to 20 seconds - but work up from there. Try 1 minute, then 2 minutes, then 5 minutes.
See what decisions you make in the additional time and find ways to bring those decisions into the shorter time periods.
Most importantly, keep drawing !
